Your first visit.
After scheduling your pet’s appointment with Gem City Veterinary Services, what can you expect on your first visit?
First, please fill out a new client form: New Client Form
If you are unable to fill out the form online please arrive 10 minutes early to your appointment to fill out the new client form.
When you arrive, the receptionist will gather your appointment information and assist you. One of our technicians will ask some basic questions about your pet’s history and health. In addition, they will take a heart rate, temperature, and respiratory rate.
Next, you will speak with a GCVS veterinarian about your questions and concerns regarding your pet. The doctor will perform a thorough physical exam, after which you and your doctor will discuss options for diagnostics and/or treatments for your pet.
If additional tests are warranted, GCVS’ in-house laboratory can give results in a matter of minutes. We also have x-ray and ultrasound available in clinic.
Before you leave the clinic, GCVS wants to make sure that your questions are answered, that your pet has received the best possible care in the clinic and that you are able to continue that care at home.
